That green dial is mesmerizing indeed.
If I bought watches ONLY for dials I would have this one and a PP 5980-1AR.
But overall I like the YG green slightly more than the WG blue (for 2016s) because I have a blue sunburst in with my YG Sub.

Yes I agree with this. I actually love PP and AP on rubber, actually some of my favorite references are on rubber. So for me it's an easy sell.

I also like the PM daytonas on rubber better than the leather. Would be nice if you could do both, seems like the new RG Daytona OF is the MOST similar (of the three 2017 releases) to the previous leather strap models.



Can't wait to see it in person. I am seeing the RG in the flesh on Thurs, and trying to hunt down a WG.

I lean more for sporty than dressy, but owning a full gold YG Sub, believe me, I see your point. I just WISH they had PM Daytonas with full bracelets AND ceramic bezels not called Platona.



Well, most likely for ME (because I can't wait a year) is to buy and enjoy one for a year, than trade next year. I am with you though, I would love love love some PM Daytonas with ceramic bezels and full bracelets.

RG coming to AD thursday. I am looking for a WG to compare to. YG is a definitely no. I do like the 2016 green, just struggling with there not being a ceramic bezel. Still on the board if I don't like the 2017's.

I have come within a hairs breath of the RG YM. In fact I bought it and took it home, but got buyers remorse and returned it the next day (they did not even size the strap). I really do like it and have on MANY occasions thought of pulling the trigger. One thing I am considering if I don't like the 2017's is trading black for white 116500 and getting the RG YM. That is more of long shot, but I really do love rose on rubber.

Right now my collection is kinda needing some rubbers

YG Sub (own)
SD43 (own)
BLRO (incoming this week - just have to go to battle on prices)
116500 black (selling) - wore for 8 months almost nonstop… love it, just ready for a different daytona).

So the rubber RG makes the best since to balance the metals, but I am going to go by what appeals to me and sings to me the most. Likely RG or WG 2017.

It's a tough call, but actually since I will soon have two full bracelet PMs I am thinking Oysterflex for a change up.
Never did bite on the RG YM, but boy did I come close. Still like it.
We'll see, I want to see them all in the metal first.

It'd be a close one between the WG Oysterflex 2017 and the WG blue dialed 2016........I thikn the 2017 might edge it out in my mind....but it could be the new watch hype driving the extra nod (that and my love of 6263).....no wrong choice between these 2 imo.

As far as rubber strap. I'd prefer on an Exp, SeaDweller, or Sub. I'd only choose full bracelet or leather on a Daytona.

Not to throw a wrench into all of it but there are a couple of other variations as well that no one knows. I'm on the list for the 2017 YG and Rolex just offered me a variation that the store itself said they didn't know it was coming or even an option: it is in fact yellow gold but instead of the dial released at Basel, it's a white dial with gold rings on the subdials. Still on the Oysterflex. It's a cool watch but I passed and I'll wait for the regular YG version (should be just a few weeks now).

If it had black or dark grey subdial rings, I would have gone for it.

For the record, I keep my Daytonas so it's not something that I would buy just to try and flip later. If I buy it, I'm keeping it.

Neil, how are you enjoying your 116515 on the leather strap? I sold mine a couple years back and I'm thinking of getting it again while you can still get BNIB before they are all gone since they are discontinued. I love the WG on Oysterflex but I might wait a couple years for those prices to settle.
