Observation regarding the Explorer II 216570

A recent observation I've made regarding the Explorer II has me curious regarding how it's waterproof.

I've noticed no black rubber ring on the crown stem. My submariner has one as well as my GMT Master II.

I'm assuming they aren't assembled with the rubber ring and curious how they are waterproof without it.

Or is it missing from my watch?

Thanks!

I'm only going off memory here but I think the real waterproofing is inside and you are unable to see it. I don't think that ring really does all that much for waterproofing. I could be wrong.

Its a twin lock crown, the gaskets are on the inside of the crown and tube...
