I have not purchased one in 2017, but I took my dad to the AD and helped him pick out a Rolex. He received a nice discount, cleaning cloth, Rolex Magazine, Rolex Catalog, a bottle of water, and little care package with lotion, mints, jewelry cleaner, etc.

They also gave me a cloth, Rolex Magazine, Rolex Catalog, water, the same care package, and cleaned my Sub. All as a thank you for bringing him in.

Yeah. My first Rolex was purchased at an AD to get the experience. That was just okay - next time I'll take the savings!

From the AD I purchase from I get coffee, water, and a fine discount. From the AD across town I'd get bourbon, a flirty sales girl, and a 2k higher price.

I was lucky to get this Rolex book all about the Submariner models and history when I bought my sub last month. Apparently they only get a handful and this years theme was the sub.

Interesting question to this thread, seeing as how in the UK we consider it a privilege to even buy a Rolex what free stuff could you reasonably get away with asking for in the AD? I'm going to be buying a SS subC date and wondered what all I could get away with? Ideally that plastic coffin case and the green velvety pouch to transport it around when not wearing.

What success have you guys had with the UK AD's? To be fair I'm grateful for my AD to be selling me one LOL

When I purchased my BLNR in May, just a smile and handshake. When I purchased my SubC in July a 1/2 bottle of Champagne (Veuve Cliequot Brut) at the AD and then a nice Rolex book in the mail from the AD a week later.

I asked them outright for a copy of that book from an AD in Chester, a mate had bought this sub c date a month before and was given one, so I knew they existed and had them. So I rang them once they had mine in stock and asked as it would compliment the watch etc. It worked me me, so worth asking for something Rolex.

I received a dram of whisky while purchasing my Daytona in June. Wasn't single malt but it was thought that counted.

A cappuccino, a personalized showing of high-dollar pieces at the AD for 2 hours (think AP RO Tourbillon, Lange Zeitwerk, etc) and membership in their VIP club.

I dunno whether they will even entertain such a request for a SS model, maybe more inclined if it was a PM or TT.

Do most AD's give you the plastic coffin that the watch comes in when it's sent to them? As I know my watch will come from Rolex and not be one that was sat in the window.

Not new purchase in 2017 but the only thing I need when I buy a watch is the warranty!!

According to my AD Rolex are cutting back on Rolex branded freebies, they used to give Umbrellas, Pens, Wallets etc however they haven't been able to source any of these items for the last few months. They will give you a bottle of Champagne as they buy it themselves from the local supermarket.

I asked for the repair green case, said they were out. Since I was on another AD in towns list for the SD43 I stopped by to let them know I had purchased and to take me off the list. Same company so I didn't feel bad asking if they had a repair case, which he was happy to give me.

I went back a few days later to get my watch resized a little, and they gave me a bottle of vodka for the trouble!

A carrier bag, the coffin, several beers, several glasses of fizz for Mrs. Kevan, an ultrasonic jewellery cleaner, a receipt, eight empty coffins for my other watches (I was scraping the bottom of the barrel then), a huge grin and..... oh yes, a white face Daytona Ceramic.
