True, I just looked at my Bluesy under a loupe and found a spec of dust on the dial. But when you look at it under the naked eye it is invisible.

I'd get that fixed under warranty for sure. Once you see a cosmetic flaw like that you will NEVER unsee it. Its the first thing you eyes will look at and will keep you from enjoying your watch

Ok, I get it, the dial is not perfect and that is what we want. I have a hard time seeing it and don't think that it matters as long as the watch is running and performing to specs. Do yourself a favor, get over it. Wear your watch and enjoy it. I would never send a properly functioning watch in for this. Things happen and I would prefer that my watch does not get opened nor open the door for other problems associated with going to the Service Center. Everyone is entitled to handle as they deem appropriate but I would catch a breath and live with it. I hope you get it sorted out to your satisfaction.

Get it sorted now, if you leave it till 5 years service they might try a wriggle out of it and say it's not a warranty issue

You'd never see that on a Grand Seiko...

Easy swap. Make 'em do it!

yes, if you're shipping anyway, definitely send it to Dallas, not NY.

That said, I would definitely want it fixed, but I wouldn't be in a rush. Definitely make sure to send it before the warranty is up though.

Unfortunately now that you found it, you'll have to get it fixed. It will drive you nuts.

Like Padi said, that loupe can be your worse enemy.

I am always good with imperfections until I notice them. Then they eat at me and drive me nuts (yeah I am a little ocd). If you can get it repaired/replaced, I would do it.

I can see the defect in the photo. For that kind of money, it should be perfect. I would send it to RSC and have the dial changed under warranty.

I had a Daytona with a blob of gasket lube near the edge of the crystal. My AD made note of it and we agreed to send it in 1 month before the warranty expired. This was when the warranty was 2 years.

We sent it in at 22 months and they took care of it. Not sure if I got any free service but they had it apart and at least looked at it. Easy fix and returned looking new again.

You know...maybe I'm just lucky, but I've see nothing to be concerned about via loupe when looking at my Rolex watches.

Why would you wait a few years, especially since its obviously bothering you. If another issue should come up in the future, your warranty will cover that issue as well. Send it back and get it taken care of.

You've just been lucky mate. Otherwise try again and if you look hard enough you will find something wrong.

I agree dont look at any Rolex under a Loupe. If you can see it with the naked eye then yes its a QC issue for sure.

Have the dial replaced.

I got a JLC that had an extremely tiny defect that could be barely observed by a naked eye and only under specific conditions. It literally took me minutes to position the watch in the right position before I could see the imperfection. Under 10x you could see it better. 30x did the trick. Guess what? Jaeger replaced the dial under warranty. No questions asked.

I'd would leave it there and celebrate that you have a rare Daytona - After reading so many bad stories with Rolex USA RSC, I wouldn't take chance to send it in so they screw it up further. That's my 2 cents. Or worse, they may give you a non-original service dial

This is my only gripe with using warranty and swapping out dials. Its happened to me before swapping out a dial but the RSC replaced it with another dial with scratches on it.

Not only that they marked the gold hands putting them back on. I always dred the day my watches need to go for a service they NEVER come back as they were factory fresh.

YUP their are imperious and you are a "nobody" good luck with RSC, NYCn
When you pay dearly for a product that is supposedly so exclusive, it better be up to par, send it back. I would, being OCD is a good thing, strive for perfection is never wrong.

Got to admit , once its seen it cant be unseen & you know its there . For me it would spoil the watch wearing experience until it was resolved , so it would be back to the AD for me .
