Stowa Antea Klassik or Nomos Tangente 38

After my last watch acquisition of a Rolex OP39 Rhodium I just assumed that my next watch would be another Nomos, (I currently have a Club Datum), specifically the Tangente 38. Now I'm very seriously looking at a Stowa Antea Klassik with a white dial as an alternative.
Aesthetically the two watches are almost identical. What I like better about the Stowa are the numerals that completely surround the dial instead of having hash marks at 1-3-5-7-9-11 which is the same as the Club which I already own. The Nomos, on the other hand, has the better movement. But is it worth nearly twice the price for a movement that, until about ten years ago, Nomos also used? Probably not.
As far as fit and finish, although I obviously have never seen a Stowa in the flesh, my research indicates that they are on a par with Nomos, and they should be considering they've been making watches since 1927.
I'd be interested in reading the comments of those who own either of these two watches or has seen or owned both.

Stowa is probably easier to service and roughly half the price.

Stowa Antea Klassik or Nomos Tangente 38

I love Nomos and I think they are better made. But at twice the price. Tough call. Don't think you can go wrong here.

Maybe a preowned Tangente? Couple in Ebay in the $1250 range now.

This is not an ad- but have you checked out the new Ming microbrand? They're on ming.watch and may tick your boxes.

Radial flips set off my OCD and I think it does for the designers at Nomos as wel so it makes the Stowa a non starter for me. Look for a preowned Tangente 38 or buy one from Germany and the pricing delta gets much better.

Very cool looking watches. But they only come in blue and anthracite and I'm looking for a white dial.

I just received an email from Stowa in answer to a few questions I posed to them.
Apparently the Antea cannot be ordered without the date function which is a major disappointment. I really wanted the simplicity of a dial without the date.
That pretty much decides it for me.

Where can I score a Stowa in the US? Is it just the official online retailer in Germany?

There's no way to get one in the U.S. You'll need to order directly from their website or else give them a call.
That's really a bummer because you can't see or try on the watch before you buy.
