Bloody Rolex... Incoming!
Good day everyone!
Bizarre experience with an AD today. After a year of enjoying my DSSD Blue (a chance find in an AD window in Greece whilst on holiday), I decided I needed something slimmer after an uncomfortable job interview with a tight shirt cuff over the DSSD a few months ago. Knowing that all SS sports models are like gold dust here in the UK, I added my name to several AD waiting lists around the South of England for a SubC and SubC Date, knowing that I might be in for long wait. This was 3 weeks ago. I received the call yesterday that there was a 114060 with my name on it. I was quite surprised at the relatively short wait and excited. I drove 83 miles this morning to pick it up and it's stunning. Love the symmetry as many of you do. The AD set himself up to remove 2 links for me, which he did very neatly and carefully except for when he gouged the screwdriver into his thumb and proceeded to bleed onto the bracelet. I'm not squeamish and it was not a deal breaker, but my brand new SubC was treated to a thorough clean the moment it got home. Would it be an issue for anyone else? |

Thanks Brian and no, he did a rudimentary clean with an anti-bac wipe and then a once over with a Cape Cod cloth. I just wanted to clean it to my standard when I got home.

I didn't think I was squeamish but a few years ago I sliced thru my hand trying to cut an avocado and I started bleeding... and then I bloody fainted! Just when I needed to be extra alert and attend to it, was really disappointing. Anyway congrats!

Congrats on the Sub, it's the perfect watch! As far as the bleeding all over it goes, I would have tried to get a new one (if available)...if not, I'd probably try to skim some freebies and give it a good wash. It's a really expensive purchase after all!

Apparently they are good to go down to 1000 feet of blood so a few drops should be fine.

Awesome pick! I chose the 114060 cause it was a touch slimmer too! I do love the symmetry that I wasn't aware of until I tried it on.
