Just a word of caution on sizing the bracelet... I have owned several nice watches over the years and am used to using screwdrivers to add or remove links. When I got my BLNR I thought it would be a piece of cake. Perhaps my particular watch had very tight screws but it took the jaws of life out of me to unscrew several links. The screws ended up being scratched up, but I don't really care. I know sometimes people can be a bit sensitive about scratches, so keep that in mind if you are on the more OCD side. I'm in the camp that wears the watch and likes the wear and tear. The PCLs have developed a lot of fine micro-scratches, but they don't look bad to me.
I've also seen pics on this forum where ADs have done similar damage to the screws, and I'm not sure how it could have been avoided on my watch given the amount of strength I applied to unscrew. Take it for what it's worth. |

Congratulations on the BLNR, your new job and your son's first bday
As for the AD charging to resize the bracelet seems reasonable to me if you didn't buy it there. |

Bit off to charge just because you bought elsewhere.
Play them at their own game. Pop in, show interest in a watch. Ask to go on their list. Then ask for this birthday gift to be resized. Only an idiot would charge a potential customer. Regards |

Thanks all
I Heard the RSC in NY will do it for free so I'll stop by on Monday. I work 10 mins away so not going to be too much of a hassle assuming there's no wait. Super excited. Also took me a while on how to work the GMT functions, hah |

Went to RSC here in NY this morning - got there at 9AM. Had my watch sized for free! Excellent service there. Took about 25 minutes. |

Wow
You spend all that money on a watch then are exited to have an AD that did not sell you the watch spend 25 minutes of thier time without any compensation? Real classy.

If I work close to RSC and they sized it for free, why not? I am happy that my watch is sized and the added bonus was they had great customer service and was complimentary. Sorry, I didn't know I had to pay someone extra in order to be classy.

You didn't pay anything! What a doushe bag. When I go to Vegas and a door man opens my door and puts my bags in the trunk I tip them 5 bucks. You have an AD spend 25 minutes and you give them nothing. You sir are a jerk.
