Rolex Utopia?

Hello all,

first let me begin by saying that I am relatively new to the forum and to the Rolex world, so if this topic has been discussed I apologize in advance.

By perusing the forum I have noticed that some of the members do have a somewhat 'preferential' access to the highly desirable SS models, even to the point where some could pinpoint a timeframe within which they could be able to get a certain piece.

Wouldn't it be great if members could help other members acquire certain 'grails' or wanted watches?

Not all have had the luck, opportunity or skill to convince a certain AD or SA about why they deserve a certain model.

Members that receive help acquiring a certain watch could donate to the charity of choice of the person who they're being helped by, or buy them the best steak in town, etc.

Certainly beats paying the grey premium and/or grovelling to the mighty waitlist.

Worst case scenario, we could make some real life Rolex friends

There have been situations where members have scored watches for others. There isn't any formal "process" for so doing. I think it's a one on one personal business.

There’s a member here who helped several members to get the TT CHNR. I hope more members start doing that for other references too. Nice suggestion, I’m all for it.

Anyone that feels they may have what it takes to help others acquire a model that they are longing for, please feel free to chime in :)
