Icon19 Green fluted motif vs mint green - which would you choose?

I was offered a choice of either the green fluted motif with oyster or the mint green with jubilee, both with the smooth DJ bezel (126300).

Can anyone share real life pics of the green fluted motif dial? It's hard to know what they look like in daylight. Ive only seen one pic on here, which looks very different to the stock pics.

Anyway - which would you choose of the 2 dials?

Fluted motif, hands down. I’ve seen the blue motif in person and it’s incredible. Here’s a vid of the blue online https://youtu.be/xZHHBl0uVa8

Motif with oyster and smooth bezel is a nice combination. The dial is the star of the show.

I'm a plain dial vote. My vote would be mint green "plain" dial with a fluted bezel on a Jubilee. (I know that wasn't an option)

Hah Guppydriver, there’s always one eh? Im not a fan of the fluted bezel, too much bling for my taste. My initial ask was for a white baton dial, smooth bezel and oyster, which seems hard to come by in New Zealand for some reason. I have grown to like the green, and remembered really liking the olive green on an older 34 OP model.

I am leaning slightly towards what swsler noted above - the more complex motif dial can be the star in what is an otherwise simple configuration.

VERY undecided at the moment, Ive asked to view them both together and will definitely purchase one.

I would be eternally grateful if any owners of the green motif dial would chime in with images.

My wife just received her mint green motif dial with fluted bezel on jubilee. Its a beautiful watch and the motif dial gives it a little extra character.

Mint

I like the motif dials in the promotional images, but in real life they look too "busy" to my eyes.

I also prefer the jubilee over the oyster

I expressed interest in the fluted - jubilee - mint dial configuration. However, I would need to see it IRL to make up my mind on this dial, check it out under various lighting conditions and see how it holds up against a strong direct light. I don’t want to see a pale milky green similar to the pale blue of the bright blue dial found in the OP/DJ/YM. That would be a deal breaker for me.

I personally find the motif (fluted) dial a little bit jarring, it’s really not something I would want to wear.

Beautiful watch. Never been that much of a green fan but this mint green is just awesome.

I can’t make my mind up about this one.
Seen some photos where everything is bright and shiny. Makes it look too much.
But it’s not so bad in this video.

Wish it was available in 36mm.

I love the mint green, but I'd go fluted. I've had many a smooth bezel and get pretty frustrated with how easily they get dinged up.

Motif + smooth + Oyster seems like it's missing something on the Rolex site. So it might look better in person when the light plays with the dial.

Smooth + Jubilee was just never something that did it for me. Feels like you're trying to dress up a t-shirt, regardless of dial.

I’m a huge fan of the new fluted motif dials whether in blue or green. They look great when paired with the fluted bezel and jubliee bracelet. It is busy for sure, but in a tasteful way! It interacts awesome underneath the lighting.

I agree, fluted bezel needs to go with a jubliee bracelet.

I'd go with the motif because I don't have a motif dial.

Thanks for all your contributions, and the images are helpful. I found this on YouTube, which is the exact configuration..... it's growing on me!

Re bezel, I definitely prefer smooth to fluted as they are too blingy for me.

Ok thank you everyone for your input. I went into the AD today and I am now the proud owner of a green motif dial. It took me awhile to decide but ultimate the uniqueness of the dial, Rolex's take on a tapisserie if you will, is just too cool. Im purchasing this duty free so I took home the box and papers and will be picking up the watch itself when I fly out next week.

Here are some pics in the meantime. It's quite a difficult dial to capture properly as it really plays with the light. So happy!
