Don’t like to travel too much

But I need to get out of dodge for a bit.

I’m open, even inclined, to do something in the continental US. Sort of want to ship my car to Joshua Tree, camp there for a few days, and drive back.

I let my passport expire during covid, so international travel is out. Which is fine by me.

But open to PR or Virgin Islands too.

Want off the beaten path, but with some of the niceties and convenience. Does this exist?

Would love ideas.

Coty, Wyoming and then a drive up to Glacier national park.

Park City, Utah, or Breckinridge, Colorado are both great spots to kick back and enjoy life.

Or you could come up to my house, only 45 minutes away from you. We can sit on the deck, talk cars and watches and watch the leaves change.

Both very good ideas. Also, Sedona AZ is a special place.. Great weather this time of the year...

https://www.recreation.gov/discover/.../Arizona/state

Also, Check VRBO Rentals for Cabins. It might be nice to just be out in the wilderness for a long weekend and then drive home... Stay south as the snow will be here soon.

Aman Resorts may be in your sweet spot.

Amangani (resort) Jackson Hole
Amangiri (resort) Big Water Utah

Check out both, pictures are nice, google satellite view also gives you a good idea of location and so forth.

I am a walking paradox, I enjoy the purity of nature and the outdoors but crave the comforts of luxury accommodations.

We had a blast here a few years back for my wife’s 30th. I can’t tell you exactly how many years or it’ll be the end of me. Landed in Phoenix. Drove through Joshua tree. Headed over to the Grand Canyon and then made our way there. We always talk about how we wish we had just went straight there and spent the whole time in Sedona. We had a suite and a pool we shared with two, at the time unoccupied suites, but now it looks like you can get one with a private pool.

Yes Enchantment!
We stayed here once and LOVED It! We tried to get dinner reservations a few weeks ago and they were only taking guests staying on property and heads up the Spas is closed for an upgrade. They do have some rooms set up for services but nothing like the world class spas experience!

I loved Sedona, and we combined it with a trip to the Grand Canyon.

Nashville is always wonderful. If you can get tickets to the Grand Ole Opry, go!

Agree on Jackson Hole you can’t go wrong with that experience and it has the best of both worlds.

Yes because two is one and one is none; always bring a back up!

Jackson is awesome, but right now is a pretty bad time to visit unless you like cold rain. It's too late in the season to enjoy many of the summer niceties in the ski towns in the west. A lot of the restaurants and stores close for this time of year.

If you're looking to chill in a place with some things to do and nice scenery, I like Durango.
A month ago would have been a perfect time. Probably getting a little cool now.

If you’re looking to go now, the Great Smoky Mountains in western NC are great in October. Leaves, cool weather, hot tubs, hiking, mountain biking, lots of camping and space. The timing is perfect.
