Finding a Tudor Submariner Blue insert!!

I feel I must be looking the wrong places. Can’t believe it’s that difficult to find a bezel insert. I have a 76100 which is a black one and all original. Gorgeous watch. I know I will get flogged on here by purists but just to have an option of something a little different I have been trying to track down a blue insert. I don’t mind if it’s a brand new service one or old. Don’t have ££ to buy some
Special faded crazy priced thing.

Can you still order them from Rolex if you lost one for instance or is it just luck for what’s out there?

Anyone with a blue sub want to ‘lose’ theirs and ask Rolex for a replacement for me? Help guys!!

Bezel inserts are really getting to be a collecting hobby on their own and prices are, in my opinion, insane. Good luck.

I passed on a nice, early 70s Tudor Sub bc after pointing out the bezel was wrong, the owner indicated the original bezel insert was damaged beyond use in a motorcycle accident. This was ab 2ish years ago, and even then it was like 1500-2500USD for a decent proper, period bezel insert.

Easy to find. Just can’t justify spending the money on one.Private sellers asking more than Rolex/Tudor want for one.

Well.. Since the watches cost as they do it explains why parts also cost a ton. It would be weird if you could build a watch cheaper by buying parts and cobble it together.

But you are not buying a NOS Snowflake insert from 40 years ago in great shape.

So no, you are not getting an original equipment as shipped insert from Rolex/Tudor.

New service insert cost around 100usd. If you want older time correct parts the AD is not likely able to help at all.

No just want a blue option. Brand new is fine. Might ask Nicely at the ad.

Worth trying. A RSC should be able to help.

Just pop the current bezel off and tell the AD you lost it.

Oh, I misunderstood. Rolex wouldn't put a blue insert on a black-dial watch. As you were...

Would the serial tell them the colour. My ad is happy to order without seeing the watch just wants the serial number? Anyone got a blue one for the serial I might borrow? ;-)

I thought I wanted a faded one (and maybe I still kind of do?), but two things kind of changed my mind:

1.) I started to like the bezel that came with my watch; in pictures it was a harsh blue but in person it actually looks really great with the watch
2.) THE PRICES!

I'm not going to spend $3-4k for a thin piece of aluminum to get a few shades lighter on the bezel. It's absurd.

I know. I don’t even care about the faded colour. Just want the option of blue. But like the Rolex GMT when people for £60 had the coke Pepsi or black options to mix it up.

You should reach out to John Rooney, from First Class Dials.......you can find them online and call them or email them. Tell him what you are looking for and he might be able to find one for you. There are some folks on IG that sell them but they are effin crazy in there pricing. If you reach out to John tell him that Marc from NY, who just purchased a blue insert for my 16800 told him you should connect.

That's kind of the going rate... Unlikely that someone will flip off their bezel and get one from an AD for you, even for a similar price. Got to pay to play...

Well I’m not playing if a new bezel costing £100 is sold for £1000. I get vintage and faded etc. Oh well. Never mind.
