Between the 16800, 168000 and 16610. Which is the more preferable refn to own and why?

In my opinion none of them, the 1680 belongs before them and is the most desirable because of its red writing history

The 16610LV.
Old school classic case, maxi-dail and the gorgeous green insert that can be easily swapped with a common black insert if you please.

I think all of them are widely readily available especially 16610... If really between those three? The 16800 or 168000 in matt patina dial perhaps. But still it would reach to the level of insanity in terms of pricing. Just a bit more expensive than the glossy dial variant and the 16610. And doubt it will be a must have collector piece either.

So the most preferable to own is the one that YOU like the most and why? Cause you are the one buying it and wearing it.

^This. Although a close one with the 16610, the classic sized lume plots hit watch aesthetic perfectly too. It might be argued that maxi dial size predates it but that was just lume with a longer 12 marker! Not classic wg plot size inside further white gold plotting. Er so it's on the fence for me between 16610 or 16610LV - Ideally both left in original bezel format.

16610 for me... Old school classic case. I don't like the fat lugs at all.

I like the 16610 2003 and newer also the 16610lv. The 2010 16610 have the classic case with the rehaut engraving that's cool imo.

Without a doubt, 16610 is my favorite. I think it is classic Rolex. The brand seems to revolve around the Submariner.

I'm not a big fan of the ceramics, so I chose a 16610 and love it.
Classic style, light weight and very practical.
Solid choice for a sub in my opinion.

It might help the OP to state not all 1680's have red writing on them.

Any sub with drilled through lug holes. Once they got away from this feature.....don't like 'em so much. One exception is the 16610LV. Wearing one ATM......but I do wish it had drilled through lugs as well. I personally don't care for the ceramic models nearly as much even though I own several.

While I appreciate the older models, I'm a fan of the ceramics. I think I mainly like the improvements to the bracelets
