Nautilus 3800 Wrist Pics

Guys, im considering a 3800 given the 5711 market is just insane and concerned about the 37mm size of the 3800. I would greatly appreciate anyone with a 3800 sharing wrist photos and saying how big your wrist is.

Thanks

Thanks

Here's the wife's 5800 (close in size to the 3800) on my 7" wrist. It wears very small IMHO compared to the 5711/12.

Nautilus 3800 Wrist Pics

I have a 6.5” wrist and the 3800 fits me really well. I absolute love mine and literally wear it every day.

For a those with a smaller wrist I think it’s a great choice.

Agree it wears small to the jumbo but I found it's something you get used to and the sleekness of the case (7mm) means it feels great when wearing.

If you can I would try one on. FWIW, when first trying it on it felt small but I soon got used it and since I've been converted to midsize! I think a lot of it is down to perspective having only dealt with the jumbo previously.

If not try the 5800 which is slightly bigger.

That's a beautiful 3800. I like the iteration with the white date window which matches the 3700 and 5711. Yours looks unpolished, also.

It was a really nice one, but let it go almost immediately. With my 5711 in the mix, I figured I would not wear the 3800 much. Instead I’m searching for the perfect RO 14790 or a 5 digit Day-Date...even an older quartz RO would do it for me

Unlike the royal oak - the nautilus wears true to size and actually a bit smaller.

I personally find the 3800 fantastic for dress occasions but abit dainty on the wrist. With your 41mm chrono you will find it too small and not that "SUV" on the wrist for all occasions.

IF you go 3800 - get full yellow gold. Now THAT is a real stunner and the PM really makes the piece a treat. If not, don't settle for the 3800. My 2 cents.

OP, I say stay patient if the only reason you're considering it is because the 5711 has gone out of hand for you. Probably will cost you more to make a move for that reason.

Though I love the 3800 on its own, it looks, and photographs so well. Even wrist shots of it for some reason don't really show that it is truly a very small watch.
I have 6" wrists, and I LOVE small watches.
I own an RO in 36mm, a 6263 Daytona, a 3940J, but I could not stand the size of the 3800 on my wrists. It just didn't work for me.
The 5711 wears really well on my wrists because it wears smaller than a 40mm, and similarly, the 3800 wears even smaller than its size.
Just my opinion, but I would really encourage you try it before buying.

Absolutely love the look of your dads watch!

A man in the building we have or office, he bought a 3700 in 1976 (actually he bought 2) and still wears it. When he doesn’t he stuffs it in his pocket along with keys, coins etc. I have a photo of it here alongside my 5711 back when it still looked new

Thanks guys. There's something really wonderful about having just one watch. The 3800 is my dad. He never wanted anything else, and he still doesn't.
