Info on Doorstop Dials?

Hi, folks. I'm gradually getting deeper and deeper into vintage Rolex watches, and really appreciating the knowledgeable people on TRF, along with their willingness to share. Thank you all.

I have recently been looking at Ref 1505, and it seems that there were a lot of dials used over the years that 1505s were produced.

I'm wondering whether anyone knows the date range that doorstop dials were used on this reference? Tried the search function, but didn't turn up anything.

Thanks in advance. Cheers, Nick

Thanks. I have one on a 1505 with a 1978 serial number. Not sure it's original. Wondering if they possibly used these dials into the 1970s?

Thanks, RogerB. That watch is a dead ringer for the one I have. Now I'm wondering whether a way to figure this out is to correlate engine-turned bezels with doorstop dials.

Mine has a Rolex USA Jubilee bracelet. Another clue?

And yes, shout out to CWC members here in TRF.

Just do a search on HQmilton site for datejusts, and do a bit of legwork
