Those would be the first two, but pulling the trigger would require more. Box and papers would be dead last for me.

1. and 3. Dial and case condition comes first always once known entity ( is it all Rolex?) is legit and working or able to work after service. To me dial is like 70% of the watch price.

sorry Clay - that's not a fair question! But to play along - I go with case and dial

Clay, you didn't list movement. And the movement is still the most important thing on a watch. That is why a Rolex is a Rolex.

A movement can be serviced and fixed. A poor dial can't be made mint nor a case grow fat lugs. So while movement is important, without a pristine dial I will never get to the movement. With that said to each his own and I understand what you are saying and it does belong on list. Cheers,

But what would you say are your TOP TWO priorities???

If enough people answer, I'll put the data together and we'll see what we have...

1) Dial condition

2) Hands and dial match in color

3) Case condition

4) Box & Papers

5) That the watch has a service history that can be documented.

6) Originality (Does it have the correct insert, bracelet etc.)

7) Price
1-6 will have a significant impact on #7. Therefore, #7 is the most important in the end.
