Congrats to Nathan for winning the Henry VIII autobiography. Will this tempt him into buying a new watch?????

Funny you should say that, Paul. I'll be keeping the YM2 but have also been invited to a Tudor UK launch party next week. Perhaps fate is pointing me in that direction.

Gutted to be missing SQP as I'm in Vietnam at the time :(
At least the Rolex Saigon boutique usually has pretty much the full range of everything in stock to look at! Would have been good to meet some other BM's too. |

After tackling what appeared to be an insecure ticket ordering website (looked like it was over HTTP, not HTTPS), I'm now all set for Salon QP.
If I decide to bring more than one watch (or is that an entry requirement, anyway?), I probably should sort out something other than a couple of old socks to transport the extras in. I quite fancy those plastic cases which serviced watches get returned in - you can buy them on eBay. Any other recommendations/thoughts? |

In the past I have sported 2 watches to a gtg. I have one on each wrist. It helps me keep track of them after I have had a few beers.

That's a very good point! Perhaps I'd better just stick to one then: the security guard at the door of Salon QP might not let me in if I've got one on each wrist. I can hear the conversation now

To answer Adam: I do come to the UK often, I still have very distant family living in Kent and Norfolk (learned the English language there) and I turned into an Anglophile |

My initial plans to be confirmed the day before will be as follows, which are open to change if anyone requires
Arriving at the tower mid morning saturday to drop off the car. Anyone close to the tower, we can meet up there in the morning and make our way over to Sloane Sq for midday via the Tube, driving will be hell with the Lord Mayor's show. Anyone else wanting to meet up at Salon QP we can aim for midday (ish) meet up nearby or in the Salon QP? Anyone not going to QP but want to catch up for chat and a beer we can wander over to the Phoenix bar (Smith st) and have a few drinks before moving back to the Dickens for pre dinner drinks and meeting Dan after the West Ham game. this should cover the movements up to 5pm-6pm and everyone can jump in and fit in as it suits them. Anyone who hasn't got my mobile number, please PM me and we can exchange numbers to avoid any confusion. If anyone wants to swap the arrangements around by all means make some suggestions, hopefully by thursday/friday next week we will have the arrangements tied down. Oh I nearly forgot the wives My wife came one year and disappeared off to Harrods and Harvey Nicks for shopping spree and then arrived in time for dinner. By all means bring your partners, speaking on behalf of the regulars, we will be on best behavior and wont let on the value of any watches or comment on how many watches may or may not be owned by anyone what so ever

Anything happening on Friday night?
I will be in London Friday night, flying home Saturday morning. I don't own an Omega, so not sure I want to sign up for that. Anything else going on? |

Afternoon chaps!
On the plus side, I've been given a promotion at work, which is great news! Unfortunately, I'm needed to shut up shop on the Saturday. I am free on Sunday, though, so if anyone is able to battle through their hangovers, it would be great to catch up Chris |
