Assistance Required - Fake or Real Datejust?

Hi guys,

First time poster here and I was hoping the community could help me out. I am currently searching for my first luxury timepiece.

I have found this for sale and want to identify if it's real/original or not. If I knew it was, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. The ebay seller identifies the model as a reference 16014 and the seller has perfect reviews on ebay. When googling, nothing is found besides their ebay storefront, so I am at a loss. They do have a 30 days policy on returns and ebay protection with paypal helps. I just want to make sure I'm getting the real deal before I pull the trigger.

Seller states that bracelet is not original:
The dial looks very good to me for this model, but I really like the look of this watch. The price of $3,179 buy it now does seem too good to be true for this great of condition.

Thank you,

Kaleb

Ebay is not a good place for a first time Rolex buyer

I understand. Would you recommend to forget the idea of purchasing this piece then? I figured I could purchase, have it inspected in person, and return later, but I figured that some folks here might have a better idea on this model than anyone local to me.

What Pandrew6I said.

Buy new from a Rolex Dealer or from one of the well known trusted sellers such as DavidSW or others you can find reference to here at the site.

Ebay purchases gone bad provide a lot of complaints and horror stories to the watch websites concerning fakes and scam rip-offs.

The seller has excellent feedback.

I would pass on the 'custom jubilee band'?

Would pass, mostly due to the bracelet issue. Look into the 16234 if you think you'd prefer a sapphire crystal to acrylic (plastic). Also the movement may be serviceable longer since it runs the newer 3135 instead of the 3035 that the 16014 uses. 16014 is still a fine reference, just a bit more vintage flair.

Thank you! 16234 definitely seems to be a better choice for just a little bit more $.

Apparently, you can upgrade to a genuine, but I think I will pass on this one.

Watch is fine apart from the band

All up too expensive if you need to search out an original band still
