Paul - I just want to say that every time you post a pic my will power wears down just a little bit. When I buy one, I'm sending my irate wife your way!

Sorry! Was sworn to secrecy; it's just pricing related. Y'all have a 50/50 shot of guessing which way they're going. I thought news was coming out the next day.

No secret--I posted about a week ago (http://www.rolexforums.com/showpost....postcount=2965)

Paul will expand details for everyone...

AD's now get 35% margin across the board, 5% up on LE pieces, 5% down MARGIN on non-LE. It's all a shell game with a few price differences, but margins changed, so it net's out. You have to understand how RM works with AD margins.

But the rest is not changed much. 055 which is long in tooth at this point dropped $10k, 035 went to $130 (which was silly), the rest is pretty much the same. New Blue Quartz is only $140, while other standard LE's stayed around $160k. No news really at the end of the day to be honest.

Worst part, all still impossible to get with much of any discount in popular pieces and discounts basically went down if you can get one

Price list for everyone to select their favorite...

The margin data is interesting and seems a little low. Does the distributor in the US also take a cut? I recall the Patek cost pricing being posted here for the UK and basically the mark up was 100 per cent roughly but this included 20 per cent VAT.

I can ONLY speak for US...not global.

Rest assured this is correct Roger.

In the US Westime (which is AD AND Boutiques owner) is ALSO the distributor for RM in US. It's a strange arrangement.

The margins posted are for AD's and I'm 100% sure.

Hope that helps.

Paul, these prices including tax right? How much is the tax?

If RM follow what most other brands like AP and PP does, the msrp are equalised across territories after adding tax. But I am not sure about that.

GUYS - PLEASE, these are SIHH 2017 US RETAIL PRICES. Taxes in the US are per state/county Ben.

I've posted the info--feel free to go find YOUR global pricing that is reflective of your region.

THIS IS THE OFFICIAL RM US RETAIL PRICING.

I am not disputing you Paul I was merely making an observation that the margin looks thin compared to other brands out there.

Ok. I just honestly don't know other region pricing vs VAT, vs tax, vs currency, etc.

All good my friend...anything to speed up your 'process'

It will be a long wait. You know me.

I got a quote of HKD1.08m from my HK AD. That translate to about USD140K retail and HK is tax free. I think if RM equalize the prices, it will be better to buy in regions/countries where there is high VAT ( eg UK ) as I think discount are limited if any.

I am just speculating here but I wonder if Westime are taking something in their distributor capacity before it gets to the other ADs.

Oh, rest assured

More US RM Boutiques coming (Miami and NYC)...on top of all others all owned by Westime (except Aspen), maximizing profit and minimizing discounts.

The new way for RM.

Hey, more power to them.

One of the very few brands with genuine pricing power at the moment. They have done very well.

If discounts are few and far it seems like London or Paris would be good places to buy to get the VAT but I am sure the inventory is probably nonexistent
