I wouldn’t say this is “the” worse model in the catalog. The only reason I have never picked one up or some of the other models like OPs is that I like fluted bezels.

Love mine, kind of a busier complement to my Explorer. Sold my GMT to get it, couldn't be happier. As Apple used to say, "Think different".

Keith knows the score. Same with me. So much so that even though I had a sub on offer to me at the same time I went with the AK. Yes, some may say madness, but to each his own.

+1
If they had sticks at 3,6,9 it would be awesome. Plus knock it down to a 40mm so it's not so trendy. The colors on the dial are pretty sweet though.

Only time I've ever heard that the AK as "the worst current Rolex to own" is when I opened up this thread discussion.

If it had 15, 30 and 45 I would be a buyer. But the 3,6,9 ruin the dial in my opinion.

Nothing wrong with an Air king, my next incoming daily wearer will be
after various sports Rolex and dj2s I am going with a 36mm datejust with blue dial, smooth on oyster,,,,
perfect size for my 7 in wrist and ticks every box but to some will seem boring and old fashioned but each to there own,,,,
love the fluted with jubilee but much more dressier then a smooth on oyster,
