Adding 114060 to collection.

Hi all,

I have a chance to add a new 114060 to my collection.

Currently I have a BLNR, Hulk and 16710 Pepsi.

Anyone love their 114060 and want to share experiences/photos?

I have one, and I like it so much that I don't really care about other watches. I wear it all day, every day.

I like the 114060, but in your case I think there's too much overlap with the Hulk (which is my favourite sub) and to some extent the black dial of the BLNR. I'd personally be looking at something a little more different to complement your existing collection.

I love that watch
But have never kept it around for much more than year before swapping it as a part ex or something and changing it.

But for me, that's not a 114060 phenomenon. It's a few of the range.

As zaratsu points out the similar genetics in a few of the Rolex line up can mean, that although a bezel or Cyclops or GMT hand is attractive for what it offers or removes from a watch - ultimately 99% of the new watch resembles what you already have....

To a large extent I'm finding even the "vintage" tag to be a relatively short lived pacifier too

If the look is enough great

If it's not enough of a change, maybe go for a chronograph instead

I think I agree with this. Ultimately, it’s up to you and if you think you will pull it out over the hulk or BLNR then great. Personally I’d be looking for a chrono it maybe something different like a DJ41 for a change up.

But as ever, it’s personal choice and there are no wrong ones.

The 114060 at rrp is very good value though.

What about adding a 116600? Different case, Matt dial and no cyclops ?

Had one then moved it for a 14060M.

Much happier.

It's a great piece but to shiny for me

I see no issues in adding the 114060 Sub to your collection and is different enough from the BLNR and LVc imho. The 114060 is a classic clean design which should work well. Some folks might suggest a DaytonaC or Omega Speedy to add a chronograph for diversification, but always buy what you like. Good luck in your decision. Cheers!

Big fan of the 114060. Perfectly balanced dial.

Every Sub fan should have a 114060 in the collection.

I think it will fit in pretty well if you are OK with having 4 watches that all look somewhat similar.

When I had it along with my BLNR, I did wear it but always wanted to wear the BLNR more. But after I swapped for the Sub Date, I wear that over the BLNR now. Maybe consider a 14060 instead? Now that's a cool watch!

My favorite watch. I like it better than watches that cost 5x more money.

Redundant for your collection, IMO.

The 114060 is a wonderful and the Sub for those "who knows" and don't need the date because they have a GMT, Datejust or others.

I can understand why that looks contradictory, but I stand by the comment.

The black sub date was my only watch at the time and absolutely zero regrets in changing it for a BLNR. I really wanted something with colour.

The ND is an extra watch to add to my collection along with my Blnr, HULK and Pepsi.

As part of a collection I’m glad I’ve added the ND and I’ll wear it in rotation with my colourful pieces. Wearing a black watch every day was dull.

Congrats! Looks good! Am I right I’m thinking the 114060 is abit hard to obtain from an AD than the 116610? As in they get less models delivered and more of the date version???

I’m not 100% sure.

I do know I’ve been after a ND for a while and twice been offered a date which I turned down (had one previously and fancied the ND).

Its not been as easy to get as I expected.

I haven’t been actively looking however I have enquired and most AD’s I have spoken to did tell me they would be able to get the date version sooner than the ND. I would like to own at least one no date watch, just for the symmetry. Between the sub and the OP39 white dial. Tough call. Lol
