Respected Sir,

I bought this watch from an authorised dealer ‎and unfortunately I lost it in month of July 2014 and when I claiming my watch from insurance company they are saying that the serial number is too small.
Please help me out as I have contacted Rolex in new york and no help given. I am a 70 years old lady and being hassled.

My rolex Rolex Watches - Datejust Lady - Steel 46 Diamond Bezel - Jublilee Bracelet
Style No:  179384 pgcdj

SERIAL NUMBER given to me on my rolex purchase is G46215

Please help me out.

Your AD that you bought it from will have your serial # on file.

This is the 7th time today you've asked the same question!

If that's the complete serial number it is too small.

If it is a G serial (A series of serial numbers that begin with a G) then there should be 6 numerals following the G.

If it is a random serial number that happens to begin with a G then there should be 7 digits after the G in some combination of letters and numbers (or all of one or the other).

Your watch is likely a G serial but you are one numeral short. You only have 5 after the G.

You said you lost the watch, but do you have the warranty card? The serial number should also be on the card. It may also be on the bill of sale.

The watch was stolen from my house and the box too with the warranty card but the invoice doesn't state the serial number. It only states the details and model number of the watch.

Wasn't the issue that your insurance co. didn't accept it?

Now that you have the complete # go ahead and file your claim.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Unless you've sent your watch to a Rolex Service Center before, I don't see how they'd have any information that verifies you're the owner of that watch. I'd spend your efforts pleading your case to your insurance company. In any case, good luck!
