228206 or 5711 or 5960 if money is no object

Hey TRF members I was just dreaming if I could ever afford a piece that's ultra high luxury for example a 5711 patek or what I really love the 5960 I would actually have a very hard time choosing between these two both steel btw, or would you go the full platinum new day date 40 there all around the same price in the secondary market. Also please till me if you had the means what would you get or already got
Thank you all

I would do the 228206, picking the dial would be the most
difficult decision for me

No contest here - the 5711 is the watch to get and keep

Tough one. The platinum dd is amazing watch in a high value metal with a great bracelet but lacks the brand value of patek philippe and looses alot in resale unlike the 5711 which holds value very well and has a fantastic movement and for me the slim profile and overall design wins versus the day date.

Tough choice both icons but I guess I lean towards the 5711

Easy choice. Hands down. I'd get the Platinum Day Date. The light blue dials - including the checkered one - are unbelievably beautiful.

Added, PPs don't appeal to me at all. That's just my personal preference though.

I would get the Platinum Day/Date if they were my options, without a doubt.

PM Rolex watches not in demand compared to their SS cousins. Example: Sub BLRO vs. Hulk. 5711 in very high demand, will hold its value. PM Rolexes not holding value. Example above, BLRO lists for $38k, our trusted resellers selling in the $25k range and below. On the other hand you know the crazy asking prices of the 5711. Easy decision here.

I’m biased, but I would take my 5711 over a platinum DD.

Both are amazing, no question. As undeniably beautiful as the plat DD is, I randomly meet people with them fairly frequently. It’s a more readily attainable watch. The 5711 just seems to be in more demand, and the rarer timepiece.

I'd pick the DD PT with ice blue diagonal motif dial. I'm assuming this is not an investment quiz. I just like that one more than the others.

I sold off part of my rolex collection to buy a 5711 and was so excited to get it, looking back I wish I had bought the 36mm Day Date I had always wanted, I thought the 5711 was the ultimate grail watch and I was left very disappointed, initially I was surprised at the pins in the bracelet I expected screws, after a month the date would get stuck at midnight and the watch had to go back, I got it back pretty quick and used it as a daily wearer for about ten months and then the date stopped working again and it would gain ten minutes a week, off it went and this time it was gone for 10 weeks, when I got it back the novelty had worn off, it was an itch I had to scratch but I'm back with Rolex and Tudor.
