46 yr old 1675 still accurate

My 1675 serial num 188xxxx still keeps fantastic time. For the last month she has been running at plus 2 sec/day, very pleased with this watches performance! Thanks to my friend John aka Springer for this beauty!
One happy camper!
Tom

My 1675 is one of the most accurate watches I've ever owned.

I wish I could take the credit but my watchmaker is pretty amazing! All the training and years employed at the RSC in Dallas has worked out well for him, but more importantly, for us as well.

Tom, it's nice to see that you are still giving that old classic some wrist time.

It's all in the regulation, as the 1570 movement is capable of being very accurate. It may take a re-adjustment or two to get it right on, as no two people wear their watches exactly the same. Mine averages -1.3 sec/day but the position makes a big difference, around ~13 sec/day between dial-up (+2) and crown-up (-11), so how long the watch is in any given position matters, and that will vary from person to person.

Mine too - and still 200m proof apparently (although untested by myself)

It's in far better shape than I am

It must have that new blue parachrome hairspring that everyone is talking about. A Rolex cannot be accurate without that.......
