Many great watchmakers mentioned

Let's give thanks, as 20 years ago....

We live in interesting times.

I have placed a few orders but they will only be delivered between 2024 to 2028. Going independents is a very good way to cultivate my patience. I will be a much better man in 2028

Maybe said it before in this thread

Otherwise….

Reima Koivukoski….. expecting one of his pieces within 4-10 weeks I guess

I’m expecting a very well finished piece
And he did everything himself
Dial, hands, tantalum case, movement finishing…. And what I saw looks gorgeous

Any update pics? I try to refrain from disturbing Reima but his last movement pic update was gorgeous. I told him to increase the price for his work. Call me crazy.

My daily watches and let’s focus on the independent

Vianney Halter Scriptura, titanium version so very light and easy to wear

Journe Lune, 160 hour power reserve, perfect dial

Massena Lab x Louis erard, the gold dial is shiny though the watch is little big for me

Kuan Rao Orca, a rising star for Chinese independent watchmaker, really like his style

Yes, a brand for the frugal connoisseurs among us. I see it as a really nice deck watch more than high horology, but I still love it. And only had to wait 14 months...

It features more hand finishing than brands like Jaeger or GO! IMO it is totally high horology :)

Movement looks so much better than the dial. I wouldn't mind getting one myself.

I fell in-love with the Speake Marin Ripples. That is going to be my next acquisition. It is not too popular around here. However, neither are some of the watches I own. Nonetheless, I have my own style and thats the next indy that I'll strike on!

Here is my Eric Giroud designed, 4 day, 60 second flying tourby commissioned by Manufacture Royale. I'd love to get another variation of these one day as well. Low-res image:

I am currently watching Star Wars: The Force awakens. I am a great fan of star wars series. In fact, it is one of the greatest sci fi. series ever produced with great storyline and commendable cast. I recently bought a orange lightsaber used by Darth Vader in this movie. I have collected many lightsabers of different characters. I would definitely recommend this movie to you all.

Owned by Disney. They haven’t been Indy since 2012. Pffft

L’Essentiel ‘Tree of Life’ by Hervé Schlüchter

Decent hand-finishing. Very wearable 39mm x 10.37mm.
