Prices here are going from the equivalent of $US24k to $US28k June first. I picked up my black dial yesterday and the boutique staff confirmed it again. All our local prices must include the federal 10% GST we pay, none of this plus taxes stuff.

I'm looking at an Overseas 7900v blue dial on the grey market which appears to be an ok deal. The only thing is the watch is reasonably scratched up.

Does anyone have any experience sending off to Vacheron for a polish? Quality of the work, cost turn around time etc? I'm usually a no polish guy.

I'm unsure if it's worth the hassle at this point, but the price rise looming in the background has me considering it.

Cheers

Vacheron offer an estimate to owners on the Hour Club site, its $495 Australian $ for case & bracelet polishing for my 7900V

They note on their website polishing via their service centre generally takes 2 weeks

Legend. Thanks for that. Much quicker turn around than I was anticipating.

Has anyone actually done the 'Shining' polish on their Overseas? Still hesitant about rounding edges.

First sport watch from Vacheron Boutique, the Overseas Chrono Panda, alongside with the 5711 from a friend. Put in a request to see a few weeks ago, got the call and not hesitate and pulled the trigger. I got rather small wrist but wear bigger watch often, so this feels ok.

My Dad did with the previous gen Overseas and it came back looking brand new. This was at the London boutique so can’t speak for other locations.

Hoping to ask the VC community to confirm the 42.5mm case size on the 5500v? I saw a video online stating he was unable to find a measurement less than 44mm, which would be a bit much for my liking.

Thanks in advance for dusting off your calipers!

Curious: anyone gotten hands on yet with the new 34.5mm steel version? Somehow missed the announcement before but really nice looking. Interestingly, I see it modeled on both male and female wrists on the VC site. Does it wear similar to the 11-series Rolex OP34?

Oof. 13% increase on the steel tourbillon OS in the US.

I’m scared to ask how much the TSO increase is.

You'd have to ask your AD/boutique. Website just has price on application.

What was the CDV before? The price in Finland, which is the closest to me, is still 54k EUR so it seems as that prices have been raised in select countries/regions in order to get the prices more in sync globally.

I’m in the Netherlands. Price was 49,4 I believe, now 52,5 so that’s 6%. Not as high an increase as many others but the CDV is already priced ambitiously I feel.

Wow 222 went from $69000usd to $74000usd. Rose gold CDV went from $58500 to $64000. Full rose gold 4500v went from $54500 to $60500!

Was hoping to get the dual time 7900v before the price increase. Ugh!
