Anyone handle a trilobe?

These look pretty cool, particularly interested in the starry sky dial. Movement looks a bit plain but the dial side is unique. Not sure if anyone's handled them in person.

Charger, did you happen to see the new one, the Folle Journée in black in person, or only the blue? I am deciding which color I want to order. In general, I prefer black, but that is why all my watches already are black, haha. Thought the blue might be nice with a bit more contrast.

I've owned one for a couple months. It's a fantastic watch for the money. Fun, well-finished and great proportions.

Saw your thread. One thing that worries me is the novelty wears off. Does that one have the screw down crown too?

yes! I have one coming in Q4 this year that I use valentine day celestial pattern. Although not founded by a true watchmaker in a 2018, its watch has been nominated 3 times for GPHG already! The movement was designed by none other than Mojon!

very looking forward to it!

I have never found the "novelty" to wear off with my Urwerk that also uses a non-traditional method of displaying the time.

Only in blue. It was really nice, but I did not see the black.

I don't really view it as a novelty. It's also a relatively clean design and time telling is easy, I haven't gotten tired of it by any means. It doesn't have a screw down crown.

sorry actually it's not as unique as you think. Jumping hour movement is actually very easy and old. Just Google cheap jumping hour watch and you will see.

Having said that, I love jumping hours movement. In the 90s, there were some AP jumping hours watch which I love, but the size was too small at 36mm.

Not to dog your uwerk, I think it's cool.

I just tried them in Cancun today. I had never heard of them and that was the only reason I didn’t pull the trigger. Very cool dial and fits well. I found this thread because I googled ‘Trilobe and Rolex forums’.

I tried one on a few weeks ago at a local gtg and liked it a lot. That being said however, I found it hard to tell the time but loved the domed crystal. Case and crystal are quite similar to the LM101 (not my watch) and the MAD1 (my watch) didn’t feel out of place.
Not entirely sure I’d pay the asking price but a cool watch nonetheless.

I am trying to decide between the two, without currently being able to see them in person. Would you mind elaborating, please?

The Blue is a dark blue will go with many colors being a primary color. Black is formal and you have less options.
I will add a sting ray strap :)

This is the only photo I have, sorry the quality isn't great.

But as the dials are grainy, the blue was kind of underwhelming and the black had a nice stealth look. Just my personal preference of course. The case felt really well built, and I would probably change the strap. The strap is somewhat thick. They said that more options would likely be coming down the line. Love the unique way of reading the time and the constantly rotating seconds display too.

Not sure if TRF allows linking to IG, but here’s mine:

https://www.instagram.com/reel/Ci2sJ...d=NzNkNDdiOGI=

It’s the 38mm steel cased Nuit Fantastique Secret watch. The watch is absolutely gorgeous. The dial, as you can see in the reel, shimmers and shifts reminiscent of blue dial VCO and FPJ CB. The quality of the pad printing is top-notched, and there’s a ton of it owe to the custom constellation (unfortunately, not lumed). Case finishing is at GO or JLC level. The micro rotor movement has a haute-like symmetrical architecture to it, though finishing is done by machine.

All that empty space on the dial is just begging for a stone treatment. A malachite or tiger eye dialed Nuit Fantastic would be ahem, fantastic.

Maybe TRF allows linking Instagram posts but non-Instagram users like myself definitely cannot look at IG pictures, your watch included...
