Just ordered this new Omega. Hope it comes soon!
Placed the order today, and I guess Omega isn't very good at giving ADs specific estimates of delivery. It may be a test of one's patience, or hopefully a nice surprise if it arrives soon
What do you all think? I'm really looking forward to it... (credit for photos to Monochrome and Hodinki) |

That looks great! Big Omega fan here! On the back lug I noticed it says not for sale?

Yeah, these photos were taken of press-release demos that were passed around to Hodinki, Monochrome, WatchTime, etc. for reviews when the new model was released earlier this year.

It’s a manual and Omega states it’s slim - did you find the case height anywhere?
I like the clean straightforward dial and simple 3-hand design. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

It's 11mm including the sapphire. I was looking for a slim dress watch but for me it's a little too thick, very nice looking though.

That’s very nice. Is it a manual wind as above?

Fratello's article is here: https://www.fratellowatches.com/omeg...resor-in-40mm/ Fratello includes a table of general technical specs in his article, and there he quotes the case dimensions as 40mm x 10.07mm. I believe it's 20mm between the lugs, and I hope the strap tapers to 16mm at the buckle (looks like it, but I don't know). I'll share some of his photos from that article here: This photo of the case profile (happens to be the gold watch) may be the one that cinched my decision. Love how the mid-case curves inward toward the bottom. I'm anticipating this will be one very comfy watch to wear on my 7" somewhat flat wrist The other watch I was considering is the IWC Portuguese Automatic with a black dial. DavidSW has one priced attractively in the current reference (5007) with the caliber that was redesigned not too long ago. I recall laying one on my wrist a few years ago, and it's a striking watch, but in the end I guess this Omega is more my kind of watch. Maybe some day still on that IWC, though... |

I ordered from Radcliffe in Baltimore. I traded a watch, and Erik Szper stepped up and offered a dynamite deal right off the bat. I was considering buying the pre-owned IWC 5007 in DavidSW's inventory, and some day I'll have a 5007, but based on the characteristics important to me this time the Omega got the nod. |

I love the Tresor -- but see it as somewhat of a Punch to the gut of anyone who bought the WG tresor under the Omega premise that Tresor would be exclusivey PM -
At least they practiced enough restraint to not offer the Clos de Paris dial in SS

Funnily enough I was looking at the SS the other day. I absolutely love the blue dial. It would be a difficult choice between that and the JLC MUT Moon in blue though.

Love it! I was asking about that exact model at the local Omega boutique but I balked when told I'd have to put down a deposit in the full amount to have them bring the watch in.

Please post many pictures when you get it. Both the blue dial and silver dial look so much better in the (few) pictures available online compared to the Omega website. I need to see these in person.

Did you see "Banned" under my member status? I learned my lesson about phishing the hard way. Fortunately a moderator and I both became aware of the problem very quickly, and I was fortunate to be reinstated after a couple of days
My advice to all of us: please read the stickies describing the precautions we all should take to avoid phishing. I considered myself pretty careful before, but I walked right into the trap the hacker laid for me. |

Very fine choice and, from the pics, I prefer that dial to the blue.
