advice related to 1961 datejust bought from beckertime
i bought a 1961 datejust from beckertime. they say they have a rolex certified watchmaker and guarantee authenticity and even sent some certificate. I think they are a reputable company hence my purchase.
i notice the 1961 does not weight near what i would expect (weights less than my Tag diving watch). also, at midnight the date clicks over closer to 11:58 than true midnight. 1. is this lighter weight normal on an old watch? 2. is it possible that just getting old has cause it to not flip precisely at midnight? |

Welcome to the forum! Not flipping exactly at midnight is ok. Your weight question is subject to personal opinion. Post up some pics if you'd like us to comment on the watch.
FYI There's a long thread about beckertime's reputation here in the "who's who" section (some good some bad). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Unless they specifically said your watch has been serviced you can figure it was not. The flipping at midnight is a matter of hand alignment. A simple thing any watchmaker can fix but more reason to believe your watch needs to be checked.
