Rolex Explorer II 1655 80-81

Hi,
I’ve have a friend with a Explorer II 1655 that I probably going to buy of him.
But I would like to hear from you guys, if it’s looks all right.
If it’s the right dial, arms, bezel and so on.
I am on summer holiday, and he doesn’t want to take of the bracelet. So I have to wait to get on to the serial number. But I will share some pictures of the watch.

Best regards:Ed

Thanks for all the comments on this 1655.
I will get a closer look when I’m back from the vacation. Will then share some high res. pictures and the serial number.

Mine is from 1977 5.35 Million and I believe it also has
the MK-III bezel and MK-IV dial

Looks like very nice example.

I'd say MKIII bezel and MKIV dial.

Mine 72-73 mark II 1655.

This is one of my most favorite in my collection and I love the funky design of 1655.

Beautiful! Transition with an MK1 dial, no? Or were there MKII straight hands? That bezel is amazing.

Here's my late MKII, 5.4 million serial. This reference is my favorite vintage Rolex date model. Nothing else like it.
