Milgauss GV or SubC 114060
Guys I need some help. I have been a fan of the Milgauss GV for quite sometime and have considered getting rid of my 3 week old SubC ND to help get it. Can some of you weigh in on your thoughts please.
A couple of points to remember #1. No I cant get both at the moment #2. I having trouble deciding on my own #3. Dont really want to wait As far as watch concerns they are the same size and both have a ND function.

I know!! I'm going crazy over here. The only knock for me for the Milgauss is the pcl's. Not a big fan of that but everything else I love. What am I going to do????? I tell you this Rolex game never ends. I guess I could wait until I can get it straight out but WHO wants to do that? I want what I want when I want it....

My first and only is the Milgauss GV because it's unique, and functional anitmagnetic. I do want to get sub next for sure, dig the ceramic models.

I really, really like the Milgauss GV. I already have a Sub and for your first Rolex you cannot go wrong with the Sub

Keep the Submariner. It's THE most iconic, classic watch on the planet. Plus the Sub ND has the bezel, which is very useful for timing things, and you can also set it to the date number, so it DOES have a date function, really. Good luck either way.

milgauss is unique and perhaps a bit quirky, it also has more polished bits on it ... if scratching is a concern to you?
the sub is all satin finish with that very desirable glidelock clasp and for me an incredibly functional and useful timing bezel... but certainly more common. i don't know if you have any use for the extra magnetic protection vs the timing bezel of the sub... it does sound like you want that milgauss though don't deny yourself ps as far as the polished bits, if its a daily wear, the scratches after a while all blend together and you won't notice... that was my experience with my TT sub.

Yes scratching is big concern for me. Thats what has kept me from buying in the past. The pcls. None of my watches have that as you can see. I dont need the anti-magnetic use at all. I just like the overall look of the Milgauss.

Hi, if it was a new purchase I would vote for the Milgauss....
But...... Ya alr bought the sub and I think it's really a nice watch (though my personal opinion is that a Rolex sub should always come with date and cyclops). Why not enjoy the Sub for nw? I'm not a big fan of the GV, I think the black face looks alot better!! |

Without a doubt, the Sub No Date! Think of it this way...which watch is more timeless? I understand that the GV is unusual...but I think the Sub has waaaaay more staying power for the long haul.
Also, I had a Milgauss black ( which I prefer over the GV) and I loved the look. But I sold it. I think the Milgauss is too top heavy. It feels heavier than most dive watches I've had!! That, to me, is weird for a non-dive watch. The top heaviness is slightly uncomfortable, especially if you have a small wrist. |

given the other watches in your collection, GV for sure, assuming you won't lose a lot of money in the flip. i probably would have a hard time deciding between flipping though the sub date or NDc for it, though. good luck with the choice!

Your probably right. I do have a few others already as you can see. I just told another TRF member my logic that I think makes sense. I have had 4 chances to buy the Milgauss this year alone and all 4 times I bought something else. Maybe my subconscious was and is telling me something!!!

I got no sub, but I got a Milgauss GV and I like it a lot. For the moment it is the one I use the most. It looks great and very unique, and a little stealthy. None WIS people will not know it is a Rolex, but a WIS will spot it miles away because of the green sapphire.
Choose what feels the most right. After all you can just flip around again if you regret your choice. At the moment I got 3 of my 4 Rolex's up for sale, including the Milgauss. Because I know if I get the price I want, I will earn a little more then I payed for it, and I can just buy another one and save the money I earned for my next watch purchase.

Mmmm...
if your avatar reps your current collection and taste, you may not like the milgauss after the honeymoon. |
