Just picked up this 5512

So hey guys just picked up this 5512 and wanted some thoughts on the piece. The serial reads 5492813...it's a little rough but I dig it ...what do you guys Think ??Attachment 724445

I think she's great! I'd get her pressure tested and possibly replace the crystal, other than that leave her be!

I would look for a T19 super dome and a correct Mark 3 FF Insert and call it good.

he also had a white 1680 that was in SUPERB condition for the same price.. but I just liked the worn look of the 5512 and its been on my radar for quite some time...i'm beyond pumped.

Great dial. I think it's one of those Maxi transitional dials as discussed here:

The insert looks a little funky, with that golden ring around the pearl, but an easy (albeit expensive) swap. Some stretch on the bracelet, but so what. Case looks pretty fat. I'd see what some vigorous rubbing with Polywatch would do to that crystal before you swap it. Might turn out nice. Very cool watch. And yes, a steal at $4K! Congrats!

I just order mine from Ebay. Should be about $8 with shipping. I usually splurge and get two tubes!
