Looks like a mid-'60s ref. 1500, but if you take off the bracelet and get the serial number, you'd get a more accurate year/date. I suspect the dial has been refinished (no minute markers).

yes i would say definitely a 60's-70's model 1500 and definitely a redial. however not to worry a nice original dial could be sourced here in the market section or other online venues for relatively cheap. i would also like to see some better pics of the bracelet as they were commonly replaced with aftermarket when they wore out as well.

the rolex model I believe is NOT a redial... and authentic one.
the bracelet has been replaced from a Hong Kong Manufacturer.
Can you shed any more information regarding the piece?

100% redial (i.e. repainted dial).

objectivity

Fascinating to me how many OPS simply refuse to believe expert opinion? This dial would be an embarrassment to rolex.

Yes. It is a re-dial. The dial has been re-painted. Not sure how you can't see that? The letters in the bottom two lines of text are all crooked. The word "SUPERLATIVE" is barely legible. And what happened to the minute markers?

Yes OP, the dial has been repainted. It is obvious. You ask for our opinion and then fight us about it.
The case has also been over polished. The lugs should not be a mirror finish, they should be a brushed finish. Someone most likely polished the case to match the cheap dime store Hong Kong bracelet.
