am I screwed, Day Date at auction

Hello guys,

I kind of very enthousiatically bought a day date at auction with a lapis lazuli dial without doing all proper research
The case and bracelet are 18038 model but after some research I have now discovered that the dial is consistent with a 18238 model (swiss made and not t swiss t or t swiss made t)

The hands are also more modern and consistent with the dial.

Is there any chance that this is service dial and service hands and is correct but just like, service correct.

Or am I f ked? and if so to what extent?

Did you buy it for the Lapis dial and paid accordingly?

Yes mainly the lapis dial that drew me in
paid <10k so am pretty pleased price wise.
This watch was actually one of the watch specialists auction pics and also featured on Mondani social media so I would've expected it to be an OK piece...

I don't know...it seems like it can get much worse.
However, it's impossible to say anything further without thorough photographic documentation.

This one I presume?

https://www.bukowskis.com/en/auction...om_language=en

If you don't like it I guess it is still possible to get out of the deal considering the description.

I picked up the 18038 vignette dial. Let me know if you need it. ;)

If it is that one, it very clearly states in the description "later dial and hands".

I'd say buyer got a pretty good deal for a lapis dial on a clean looking 18038.

Yes it's this one. I saw the description but thought only considered the hands, I know my bad. But anyway, am pleased with the watch in itself, just was unaware of differences between 18038 and 18238 dials, so even though I read "later" hands and dial I didn't expect hands and dial of a different model (hope this clears things up)

What I don't now is how much value is affected if this particular 18038 was born without a Lapis dial and then somebody switched it for a later Lapis Dial. That would mean that even getting a period correct dial on it would'nt be "correct"

Looks very nice.

Don't know why you found out about the dial and hands after research.
As has been said the description stated this?

Enjoy wearing it.
