WARNING: flon (steflonb@gmail.com)
Received an inquiry on my batman from user name flon. Asked me to set the time very specifically. At first I said I would do no such thing because I get that request all the time and people still the images and defraud other potential purchasers. He then replied back to me with a reasonable request so I obliged and fulfilled his request by setting the time, etc.
He said he resides in Milan and will send the wire immediately (with receipt). No wire received. Not worried that I did not sell the watch, but I am worried that he may have used my image to defraud a purchaser. Be careful guys! |

Perhaps he has a scam going where another buyer also wanted the watch that HE was "supposedly" selling set to the specific time he asked of you. The he could forward that photo on.
Good thing to be cautious.

I always ask for a picture with a specific time so that I know whether the seller has the actual watch in possession. Watermark your picture if you're worried.

That email ties to an active listing elsewhere - only sharing the link to thwart any ongoing scam with the JLC in that listing.
Could be there is a legit guy with that email and his account has been hijacked - or it’s all a scam... http://www.watchforum.sg/showthread....ressor-Ceramic Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

A very simple fix is to just WATERMARK all your photos, don't be lazy. Go overboard with the watermarks too, no reason not to. You're giving a proof of life shot, not a beauty shot.
