Sold the 15407ST

Well, it’s gone but not forgotten.

Had an offer of $56K after 2 years of ownership. And apparently it’s showing up on trf AP is ramping up the production.

I will buy one again in a couple of years when the hype dies.

Hmm, prices here are over £50K or $66K so not too bad on a 2 year old altho not sure price will come down in future, most of the sought afters are just going one way.

i would have thought you could get more. I wouldn't sell it personally as "ramping up production" is relative i guess. A few more of hardly any is still not a lot.

For the steel? I, along with one of my buddies here have this watch on order and I think it’s quite a bit less than that.

Ok thanks Tyler, I didn’t know they went for such a premium.

I don’t think prices on chrono24 are realistic. One could get the rose gold one for the same price.

Unless it’s a limited edition, prices will go down eventually.

yeah its the ask price so im sure the actual price is less, but its still nuts. Im positive my wait is 2-3 years minimum if ever. im not holding my breath.

Glad you got one and enjoyed it though. Nothing wrong with moving on.

The 15407ST is $44,100 USD AND not a ton of them in the US and extremely hard to get. They won’t even take your money if willing to prepay in full and wait a year. Francois has said they are not planning on increasing APs overall production so I don’t see them flooding the market and being readily available to get. Unless you have a connection or a big purchase history I don’t see this watch being attainable for quite a few years out.

Yes, that's why I thought your price wasn't too bad but I would probably have held on, I wouldn't want to dip in and out of a bull market or predict its end.

I was told to expect one in Q1 2018 by an AP boutique. I put down a deposit only in March 2017, so under a year wait. Unfortunately 41mm is too big for me - it's going to a relative who wants it at MSRP.

I had put down the deposit in Jan 16 and got it the next month. Probably one if the first ever to be delivered.

That’s crazy. They are becoming more and more available.

The diamond one is hideous.

Call up the AP Boutiques here in the US and let me know what they say. NYC wont take any more deposits and the Westime owned AP Boutiques expect several high dollar purchases beforehand and are also giving them to clients who have bought RMs and such from them since they carry many brands. This is not a piece you just sign up for and get 6 months later (at least not in the US)

I feel like I'm living in "Opposite Land". Was able to secure a 15407 without much hassle or politics. On the flip side, I'm having zero luck trying to get a Patek 5712/1A.

Took the words out of my mouth Tom. I was thinking about You and your situation. Best of luck friend. I bought a 15305ST after many failed attempts at a 15407 and it ended up being a better decision for me with regards to size.

I agree with previous comments. The 15407 is hard to come by in the US. I know several people who have been laughed off the phone for asking about it.
