Couldn’t resist ... 15202

Been on the list for a 15400st for a while in London, but when I popped in and they had the 15202 I tried it on and immediately traded by Rolex Deep Blue + cash for this beauty!
Apols for photo quality.... what a classy watch. Love it.

Well done, sharp dealing! Hope you got some money on top of retail for your DB?

Congratulations! Still my favourite watch I've ever owned.

Was it from an AD? I thought that they were now boutique exclusive (i.e. that back alley service centre).

congrats, but do tell details. How did this just fall in your lap in the UK? Was this a Grey market or Brooks Mews purchase? The trade of a DSSD makes me think it was WF or something. Doesn't matter either way though, and its a great pickup

Great watch OP

AP UK had one last month but as there was mention of trade in assuming it must be a grey such as WF.

Thanks all. It was a grey dealer who had just received it that morning. Got c £9,500 for my DB towards the AP.
There are a few minor scratches on the bracelet, but nothing that bothers me. Sorry wasn’t clear - it’s a June 2016 model.
I wasn’t really in the market for it, but the fit of it is phenomenal, really can be for any occasion.
Loved my DB but while rare, they’re always available if you look.

i also would have made that trade in a second. I had the DSSD (not d blue) and it was just lacking that special factor.

No offence to DSSD owners but IMO the 15202 is a different league!

I just bought a D-Blue DSSD and I'll openly admit it isn't even close!

But then contradicting myself maybe I shouldn’t really compare as the 15202st is twice the price.

Don’t have a 116660 but have a 116600 as my go to everyday watch, and if I’m honest if I did have to go down to one watch it would be the Seadweller.

Cheers.
One more point which made it easy was no cash changed hands. The guy I traded with has owed me the difference for 12 months.. he sold 2 of my watches and never paid.
Like I say wasn’t in the market for the 15202, was looking for a 15400 - couldn’t justify the price different, but this was my way of getting my collateral back.
Now I’m wearing it, this is a keeper. Will nicely replace the deep blue.

Much better choice than the 15400.
