A Tribute to Speedmaster FOIS Sedna Gold

And a tribute to gregjd, who just acquired this model as well. I was about to create this thread, when I noticed his "incoming".

Possibly one of the least discussed and appreciated Omega models. I first saw it a couple of years ago, after it was introduced at Basel. From time-to-time, the local Omega Boutique would carry one, and I always admired it. The details are amazing. At first glance, the bezel, chapter ring and subdials look to be black, but really are a rich dark chocolate brown. And the matte finished croco leather strap is a perfect accompaniment. It truly is wonderful to see a gold chronograph, with manual winding movement, domed crystal, Panda type dial and other attributes, in solid gold.

I won't go into other details, as we all know size details and movement etc. about the FOIS. Just sharing some pics I took today:

Works great with my old leather bomber jacket:

Thanks for checking out my thread and pics. After all this time, I figured it was time that I payed some respect to this fine timepiece.

Cheers,
Carl

I have to agree that the Gold FOIS is "Possibly one of the least discussed and appreciated Omega models". Great thread and a stunning watch

Given the choice, I would take this any day over a Daytona. Plus being a manual wind, it's just...

That's a truly beautiful watch! Classy and sporty without being flashy. It's perfect with the brown alligator strap with white stitching too.

I saw this beauty in person today. Love it but a little small for me. Whew!!! Kinda relieved!
