aside from the DLC coating....is this some sort of special SD?? I mean is it vintage or something?? cant you get one of these sea dwellers used for around 5k?

I think they look great, but I hate to see this done to a perfectly good Rolex, especially a Sea Dweller.

There are only 50 so they will sell them all without a problem.

DSSD too big? Don't like the cyclops? Want a DLC watch?

That's how you end up paying so much I guess.

I saw a DLC'd Patek Nautilus that was selling for more than a 5980R. Still sold out I believe.

Different strokes I guess ....

And that is clearly of a MUCH higher quality than the link. And, I bet, MUCH cheaper than the one in the link too!

What's the clasp look like? I know you don't baby your watches...and I've always wondered of the robustness of the coating.

Same reason why people would pay money to see Justin Bieber, actually I wouldn't go see him if you paid me. Besides, just because they asked that much for it doesn't mean they will sell any of it.
