Any idea what this is -

Would appreciate any comments as to authentic or not, and if real, how unusual it might be. Serial number on the outside of the caseback is 665xxx, with the number 844 below.

Dial was redone, and not well.
Would need to see movement and if inside of case is signed Rolex.
If legit, unusual, but not that desirable.
Probably from the 1940's.
