tritium (or older) dials/hands

I had a question regarding older watches. Let's say you find a vintage watch with nice even patina with no flaking on dial and hands. If as the years go by, either hands or dial start to age faster (causing uneven patina) or if flaking starts to appear, all else equal (not taking into consideration other variables such as desirability, macro trends, etc...), will that decrease the value of the watch?
