5513 Meters first help

Hi I have a 5513 in my possession and have done lots of research on here, other forums and online web sites. The serial starts 168 so I would say 1967? (haven't got the correct tool to get the back off). Dial original meters first with yellow puffy plots, bezel original long 5, hands original, crown original twin lock, glass original with cracks (can anyone recommend where to get it replaced in U.K.?) and the case appears to be unpolished. As for a bracelet option I do actually in my spares box have 7206 links with the correct 80 ends, where can I source the clasp? Really looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Nice looking watch. Case looks to be in excellent condition with great bevels. Dial and hands match as well.
May take some work to source a proper big crown clasp for the 7206 but they do surface sometimes.
For the plexi I prefer a t19 dome from Michael Young at Classic Watch Parts over a flatter profile Rolex service plexi.
I am no help on a U.K. Watch smith.
Nice find. Big congrats

Am I right in saying it is all original? Rolex can do a movement only service and a new glass, would they be recommended?

Wonderful meters first 5513. Be advised NOT to take your vintage timepiece to a Rolex Service Center, find a qualified, highly recommended independent watchmaker instead.

May I ask why is Rolex service Center not recommended for vintage pieces?

Some folks have had issues with RSC removing/replacing vintage parts, like the crown, plexi and insert. Even when asked not to. Others have reported no issues. Just depends on what camp you are in. It seems many of the vintage collectors are in the independent camp. Myself included. I trust my guy and can drive 2 hours to drop off the watch and not have to deal with shipping. He will only do what I ask him to do.
