I own the 1815 up down and the Chronometre bleu. Both are the same lug to lug distance, 46mm. the 40mm Journes are slightly larger at 48mm and thats about pushing the limits for my wrist so I prefer the 38mm/39mm Journes personally.

Would you say the up/down and CB have a very similar feel on the wrist ?

yes, very similar. both are very thin and not too broad...perfect dress watches
