Sell one. See how it feels. Continue or stop selling according to that feeling. If you have extra money you don't need, I recommend charity.

Sell them all to fund a nice vintage Daytona or moonphase but doubt if that will do for you as it dont have a Rolex movement inside but one from Valjoux ETA..

There is not one I have missed.

Nah bro, put them up for a while. When you look at them again, you'll realize exactly what they mean to you. Even a marriage looses it's passion, but it can be found again.
Don't make a hasty decision.

You guys are right .. no need to make a decision in a hurry that I would regret. I have been into watches since the age of 8 or so ... so this passion that has been with me for 43 some years, can just fizzle away, even though it feels like it ...

Most likely it would return ... until then, lock up the rollies in the safe!

I would put them in a safe , and wait, they are all paid for and you don't need the money. 8 months time if you feel the same way, keep 1 and sell the others.
just enjoy your life , watches last forever ,,, we don't.

I collect watches but never wear any , [ plan to leave them to the grand children ]

sell them all... buy one classic, timeless piece such as a vintage calatrava which will retain its value, wear it on special occasions, continue to enjoy your G-shocks for casual wear, and go on a nice vacation!

I agree with those that say sell all and get a gold Rolex or a PP. Those you have are all steel and grey and mostly older models so maybe you are tired of them, you need some colour and vibrancy to restore your interest now.

If you really feel that way, then sell and get a G-Shock as you stated. No one here can make the decision for you. However, why not keep at least one, sell the rest, and then you don't have to worry about it anymore.

...what works for me is to store them in a safety deposit box at the bank. That way the items are protected and removed from daily life, but still under one's control. The fascination eventually returns; does for me anyway.

They're just things. Give them to family members or friends as gifts, then when you think about them you won't feel regret for selling them, you'll feel great that the people close to you are wearing them.

I understand where you're coming from. I believe strongly in a simple, clean life, uncluttered by material possession...and yet, I own a dozen watches. My watch passion runs counter to my own philosophy. Sometimes I wish I could just give them all away and wear one watch for the rest of my life, but each of my watches means something to me - a milestone in life, a promotion at work, a grail watch that it took me years to track down - and I end up keeping them all.

Bottom line: don't make a decision until you know for sure what he right decision is.

I say keep your collection even if you don't wear them. You don't need the cash and you said so yourself that the watch craze for you may come back. Hold off and see.

Listen to Kilyung for the best advice...

This may be the single best piece of advice in the thread (and perhaps the Forum). No watch in the OP's list is particularly rare, valuable, irreplaceable or even vintage. So why agonize over hanging on to a grab bag of modern pieces, with duplicates. (And don't assume the prices of these fungible "commodity" items can only go up.) You were a watch buff once, there must be something out there that would excite you to pursue and hold onto. Then like Mike says, put the balance in a real investment... it will have a better chance of appreciating and being there to spend when you find the next thing to obsess over...
