What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.

where can one acquire a mod dfp screw driver?
i picked up a cheap one that looks exactly like it from one of the us based ebay sellers a while back, it works ok, but its not anywhere near as secure as the rolex 2100 that i keep locked up somewhere.

A flat grind is a very important tool to have. I made one for myself. Ground it and chamfered the edges. Fits like a dream

Great info, now I know why sometimes you slip off a screw. Excellent pictures!

Yep you got that right, Jocke. I use my OEM Panerai screwdriver to remove or change oyster bracelet links from the one side to other (12 hour to 6 hour and vice versa) and there isn't the slightest sign of use on the head of the screw as if never the screws touched by a screw driver

Thanks for sharing your blog post, very informative, and I agree, the 2100 Rolex screwdriver fits perfectly, and with your detailed photos, one can see why a normal screwdriver can slip. It won't mate correctly.

Do you have a link to the MOD DFP Screwdriver source please Jocke? Google only shows this thread as a result for MOD DFP 1,6mm screwdriver.

eBay based sellers have drivers with this type of tip. I just picked up a 1.40mm. Well see how it is.

It's a original Panerai screwdriver I've got and you can google "A&F of Switzerland Panerai screwdriver" and you will find a similar.

You don't need that because your Ray Ban's have the mirror at the inside.

I got the cut out screwdriver about a year ago when an AD scratched three links on my watch using an improper driver. Got mine off of Amazon after some recommendations of others on TRF http://amzn.com/B0085C8DN6

Sent from my iPhone excuse the auto correct and the Makers Mark

Jocke, actually you can go into a Rolex dealer and buy a 2100 screwdriver, I did that. But they will charge you a ridiculous amount for it.
(I had to order it from them first, they called me when it arrived.)
