Love my Pro Diver TT- extremely tough watch. A few links are wearing thin on plating, but that's to be expected for a plated bracelet.

I have a 8926C and it runs fine and I have no complaints with it. I have also read a lot of neg. feedback about their customer service and some quality control issues, but mine has been fine. For the price, it's not a bad deal at all.
I have since brushed out the polished center links.

Can't beat them for the price.....

But not near the league of Rolex or other finely made brands.

I thought that would have been obvious, but yes, it's not a Rolex as far as fit, finish or quality. If someone buys an Invicta and expects Rolex quality, they will be let down.

I have had one in the past, it was a nice well made watch, I recently sold it because I was not to crazy about the style. I have heard that Invicta has poor customer service.

The sub looking ones are fine (well because they look like a sub). However when they branch out and do "original" designs that's where things fall apart. Gold on carbon fiber on rubber in 50MM size and I swear I saw one with bullet looking things on the strap. BULLETS? Come on now.

Some of these Invictas look like you are wearing an Ed Hardy T shirt on your wrist.

It's true.

In a way, it's as if Invicta is run by two separate groups of people. Some of their stuff is pretty darn nice, and can get you a pretty good watch for the money. They're like how Swatch operates, in that way.

Some of their stuff is interesting, and I don't know anywhere else to get it. A 500M chrono? Got it. An affordable version of the old Zlatoust diver? Got it. They're an excellent intro into the level of watches lying a step above the everyday Casio or Timex.

The other side, though? Some are just ridiculous. A Russian Diver in black is a nice looking watch. Redo it in black and Dayglo yellow, though?

One thing that has always confused me about theirs is depth rating, though. My Pro Diver is rated at 200M, and I had it tested to prove it. Passed with flying colors, using my own jeweler as the tester. Some of their pieces seem almost laughably low, though- 100M on the Russian Diver?

I heard a rumor that Rolex forced them to discontinue the coin edge, I agree that the Japanese movement is basically junk, I've owned two and they both died within a year, I never owned one with a swiss movement so i can't speak to them

I just came across this thread and there are a lot of positive things said here about Invicta's, I have been wondering about these and think I'm going to have to check them out . . . hopefully they are still sold at Costco as someone noted above.

stick with the swiss movements and you will be fine. the entire watch seems to be made to a higher standard. all of mine have been fine.

Agreed, including the sapphire crystal on the Sub.

I have read some bad comments with their SW200 swiss movements, but a lot of great comments on their ETA Swiss movements. Problem is, they don't use ETA automatic movements any longer.

Some of their new Pro Diver's are now using a Seiko Auto Movement that seems to be a little better than the Miyota they used.

My Invicta isn't getting any wrist time at the moment.

The Swiss quartz in my Pro Diver is actually more accurate than the Japanese quartz in my Citizen. Impressive.

Figures. I post that, and the battery in my Invicta died the next day. Now to get it swapped.

They look really good for the price and my friends and I have found even the cheaper Japanese movements to be surprisingly accurate.

Invicta MSRP real or overated??

I've had several Invictas

1 pro diver 8928 (looks like a 16613 sub).
1 pro diver 8933 (looks like a GMT II pepsi)
1 pro diver 2155 (all gold plated)
1 pro diver black ionized with rose gold plating on the bezel.

On my way I have a pro diver that looks like an all gold sub with blue bezel. Very nice, got it NIB at ebay for $40.04 including shipping to Miami!!!

The 8928 had scuffed away the gold plating. The movement was ok, the clasp, everything. The only thing is that I end up selling them....

I have a big question. Is the MSRP real???

I mean I've been surfing the web trying to find a place where you pay full retail and can't find it. I'm thinking that the MSRP is pumped up. I mean, I bought a watch that costs $345 for 36 bucks. At amazon its around 90, buy it now ebay is aprox the same.....

Something similar with Croton watches (many models are Rolex-inpsired), I've read that prices are overated.

Anyone knows something??

Best to all

I have never seen anyone wearing an Invicta in the street, but I think they look quite nice.

Kind of like a combination of a Rolex Sub with a Breitling name design.

However I would rather be Indira than Invicta.....just the way I am.

I have had my Pro Diver for about 2 weeks now and so far it's displayed spot on accuracy. Not bad in my book for a Miyota and a $70 price tag.

Great review. I was so impressed by your review of the 9211 that I took the plunge and bought a nice preowned 9212 (because I like TT watches). Expecting delivery next week.

I've read that the customer's department at Invicta is very bad.

Anyone knows if the MSRP is pumped up??
