Please look at this 1680 Red

Hello guys, I'm looking to buy my first vintage. I saw this on the website of a local dealer. It's the only pic they put on their site. Can you tell if its all original from the pic? It's a 2 million serial.

Hands may not be original?

Oh...and better ask about about case back (if original to watch).

I'll let the really experts pipe in now...

@ halim

You need a lot more information before taking the plunge. First, just a couple of things...
2 mil SN puts you in both the meters first AND feet first dial variations. Try to get the exact SN and see if it jives with what would be its period correct dial. Second, ask the seller if the 6 on the date wheel is open or closed. Get the bracelet and end link numbers. I mean, that's just scratching the surface of what you need to do, due diligence-wise. Good luck!

Unless you are knowledgeable, buying a vintage watch without expert assistance is like going for a swim in shark infested waters with an open bleeding cut: possible for a good outcome, but not likely. On a "red" the dial is almost everything. It needs to be examined off the watch, by an expert. In SE Asia they specialize in "aging" cases and dials. Just a thought........
