Just picked up this beauty!

Thought I'd share a happy moment for me.
I've only really owned sporty watches Rolex, AP, Hublot and Panerai
Turning 39 this year made me realize I need to get me a "grownup" watch.
I think I found my grail!

Little back story... I was visiting Hong Kong in September and while I was there a friend of mine took me to the AD where he was picking up his new watch... A Yacht Master 11695SATS

When we left the AD I was kinda feeling felt left out and empty handed.... So he took me out to some used rolex shops he frequents and this one drew me in!

But ended up with...
Circa 1990s 36mm 18346. Perfect for my 6.5" wrists.
Tried a 40 and a 41.. Looked monsterous. Wouldn't fit under a french cuff.
Didn't take pics at the shop... But here are pics of it at home.

Later that night for dinner

Back at the hotel along with my other bling

Couldn't be happier! I'm over the moon!

Your friend paid $65,000 for that rainbow bezel watch?

Yeah he did. No discounts at the boutique. Apparently it was 1 of 5 available in Hong Kong. Prices have gone up since he bought it on the secondary market.

Yeah It's not for everyone... but in Asia I guess the rarest and loudest gets you noticed hahaha.

Definitely not for me but it grows on ya...Since October when I posted this thread the watch seems to be getting pretty popular now.

Is the bezel made of precious stone or something? Trying to understand why it would be so expensive...

Thanks! It's my first precious metal watch, but still looks stainless to the regular joe! Always wanted a Day Date.
