Help Authenticating 6917 with diamond bezel

I'm looking for some assistance on authenticating this 6917. Based on the serial # (896xxxx) I believe it's from 1986. Did Rolex make diamond bezels for this model or is it safe to say the bezel is aftermarket?

Am I correct in understanding Ladies' models are not much in demand? Thank you in advance.

From the pics provided, it looks ok. Yes, there were factory diamond bezels on this model. There isnt as much demand on the ladies watches compared to a mans size watch but there is some demand. Plus, it looks as if you have the warranty papers which helps its overall value.

That doesn't appear to be a factory bezel IMO. They did make them, but I doubt that one is made by Rolex. Crown Collection would be the one that would know, but the pics aren't great. Keep in mind, I have been wrong before, just ask my ex-wife.

Thanks for the quick replies. Here are some additional photos, sorry in advance for the poor quality.

P.S.
Goldfixer - I can completely relate and my wife would happily second your sentiment!

I just realized this is the same exact watch that I saw at an auction in 2017. If memory serves me right, it sold for well over $5k which I did not think was a bargain. The buyer told me he purchased it for his wife at the time. I'm convinced the watch is real (bezel likely aftermarket as mentioned above) and curious what price the hammer strikes at tomorrow. If it's low enough, I may take a swing at it.

Thanks again for the assistance.

Definitely NOT a genuine diamond bezel. It's simply too big. I'd steer clear of this watch, but then i'm not a fan of the aftermarket stuff.

Help Authenticating 6917 with diamond bezel

It sold for $5k plus tax and auction premium (10%). I didn't bid, but I did walk away with a pretty cool Hermle Tellurium desk clock.

Thanks guys, I'm really digging the clock and she sounds pretty sweet when she chimes. I've been able to gather the clock was produced in 2002, but I'm having a difficult time finding a shop to get her serviced as my local clock shops won't touch it.
