Jaeger-LeCoultre's archive extract

I have a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Minute Repeater that is 20+ years old. Jaeger-LeCoultre offers an "archive extract" with the original technical details for watches that old. When I submitted my written request, among other things they requested, they said I needed photos showing "the inside case back as well as the movement"?!?

Not sure I want to open up the watch to get an archive-extract?!? Too bad though, would have been interesting to get some details about the watch...

Yes, some manufacturers require photos of the watch and movement. Perhaps you can bring it to JLC service centre and they can open up the case and submit the photos for you.

As far as proximity to an authorized dealer, might as well consider me "living in the sticks". I'm over two hours from a city big enough to have a JLC authorized dealer. I'd have to mail it to Houston. Not sure they would open it up and take photos for me, and the service for the watch is a fortune. O'well....
