1013 on eBay
Hello fellas,
With the mystery of my 1560 timekeeping solved (only keeps COSC at full wind I need a new MS when I get round to it) I turn today to a notification which arrived this morning - https://www.ebay.ca/itm/401705905519?ul_noapp=true I like the watch, but my eye and that of a trusted advisor says those PCLs look rather newer than the rest...I don't think I've seen PCLs on a rivet bracelet. What do you experts think of the watch, from the pics shown? Any comments welcome, thanks! |

The bracelet looks very new and the end links are stamped 76 which are DD numbers which would make it a valuable bracelet indeed if it's real. Check for originality on that bracelet.

Hodinkee's got a similar bracelet on a DD which looks identical...and "1965" according to them. Very interesting

That's why I didn't think the asking price was all that horrific: the bracelet alone has to be worth more than $4K. The watch is worth at least $4800, the stainless examples are all asking $3600-4500. It's much more uncommon than an 1803, and those are commonly listed at $8-12K with the bracelet, more for WG.

I have GOT to change the order of my evenings around to, "Bid on watch THEN drink beer", this is getting expensive. Bar tab from last night almost melted the credit card, hope that bracelet is as McCoy as it looked from the extra pics

All good here, even if the Super-Oyster crown (non-screw down, my first) threw me for a loop when I first touched the crown. I have to say that the bracelet feels more like the old 7836 than a 93150, it's not as substantial as my YG jubilee or WG president...and how does one remove this style of bracelet?!?
Glad I pulled that trigger, frankly. Sure it wasn't cheap (the duties and taxes, ugh) but it is LOVELY. Thanks for the advice fellas. |

Congrats, Pete! That's an enviable watch! I can't imagine you'll have any regrets. That has to look amazing! Good for you!
